Photographic Services Price List

The University provides professional photographic services through the Center for Instructional Development & Distance Education (CIDDE).  CIDDE charges for the goods and services it delivers in order to recover some of the costs associated with their provision, specifically, operational (out-of-pocket) costs, capital costs, and incremental staff costs when overtime or freelancers are required to complete a job.

Studio Portraits

Studio portraits are available at the University studio in the SIS building at 135 North Bellefield Avenue for a flat fee of $50.  The deliverable for this service is a CD containing edited Web- and print-resolution digital images of photos from the shoot.

Photographic Shoot

CIDDE will provide a photographer who will go on-site to photograph an event or use the University studio in the SIS building at 135 North Bellefield Avenue. 

Deliverable:	Unedited Full-resolution JPEG or TIFF images, delivered on CD/DVD media
Rate:	$50 per hour

Customers may elect to receive the digital images “as is” (unedited) or may choose to purchase additional post-shoot services (such as photographic editing) from CIDDE.  Shoots scheduled for evenings and weekends will incur an additional $10 per hour surcharge.

Photographic Editing

CIDDE staff will provide edited digital images (sized, cropped, color-balanced).

Deliverable:	Edited Full-resolution JPEG or TIFF images, delivered on CD/DVD media
Price:	$0.25 per image ($5.00 minimum) or $10.00 per printed index sheet

Edited images are delivered at both 72 and 300 dpi.  More complex image manipulation (e.g., adding a person to a group photo) will be billed at the rate of $40/hour. 

Goods

CIDDE outsources its processing and printing services to a professional photo processing lab to achieve the highest quality products.  Consequently, these sample prices are subject to change.

Notes

• Complex field shoots requiring studio-like conditions will incur a surcharge to support the costs of field equipment. 
• Rush jobs and off-hours jobs incur additional fees, based on the costs of staff overtime. 
• Remote (off-campus) shoots incur transportation-related fees. 
• If a non-University freelance photographer must be assigned to cover a shoot, the costs will be passed on to the customer (determined at time of booking).
