Satellite Teleconferencing

Satellite teleconferencing services are available through Instructional Media. Educational programming can be downlinked and displayed in 9 different locations on the Oakland campus. A Satellite Downlink Request Form is available on-line. In addition to the numerous national sources of educational broadcasts, our PBS Adult Learning Satellite Service visit  PBS TeacherSource to review current program listings.In August of 1998, the University of Pittsburgh installed a new satellite dish on the roof of Posvar Hall. This dish not only permits the reception of new PBS digital transmissions but also enhance the technical quality of all satellite programs at Pitt.
