CIDDE Instructional Course Design focuses on supporting instructor
efforts to enhance the teaching and learning experience at Pitt.
These services include assisting instructors in the design,
development, and revision of course activities and materials
. Instructional Course Design also provides instructors with opportunities
to learn more about the theory and practice of teaching.
Instructional Course Design provides support in the following areas:
- Curriculum and instructional course design assistance for the creation of
new academic courses and programs or the enhancement of existing
ones.
- Design of instructional materials using print, video,
interactive television, computers and other media.
- Application of technology to enhance and improve instruction.
- Design and development of distance education courses and
programs.
- Assistance with selection and implementation of classroom
teaching methods and strategies.
- Research to identify existing instructional materials
in various media.
