about graduate student teaching and especially graduate student
teaching at the University of Pittsburgh.

Assistant Experience
The Teaching Assistant Experience, is a compendium
of practical advice, educational theory, and University policies
that every teaching assistant needs to know. From your first day
of class to presenting your teaching resume to prospective employers, The
Teaching Assistant Experience is the definitive guide for graduate
student instructors at the University of Pittsburgh.
Resources Library For University Teaching
CIDDE maintains a collection of books, pamphlets, journals, and videotapes addressing a variety of issues related to university teaching and the professional development of instructors. Materials in the Resource Library are available for teaching assistants and teaching fellows to borrow. In the past ten years, there has been a proliferation of literature relating to teaching, learning theory, and teaching assistants. The following books were carefully selected from this literature. They offer a practical guide to teaching and are available in the Resource Library at the Center for Instructional Development & Distance Education (CIDDE).

bimonthly newsletter that offers a mixture of learning theory and
