Blackboard Training

Faculty and staff from the Center for Instructional Development & Distance Education (CIDDE), along with their colleagues in Computer Services and Systems Development (CSSD) and the University Library System (ULS) provide training and support for CourseWeb at Pitt.

The Blackboard training seminars address how to use Blackboard and other computing tools (such as Word and PowerPoint) that can facilitate the creation of your Web-based course materials.  The seminars are intended to help you learn and apply instructional design principles and knowledge of Blackboard authoring, communication, and management tools.  They can help you enhance learning in your courses by focusing on the application of Web-based instructional technologies that encourage active and collaborative learning.

CIDDE offers five versions of its core Blackboard training as well as a refresher version for faculty members who have been away from the process for a while, or learned to use an earlier version of CourseInfo.
